Speech to Danfoss employees
Jørgen M. Clausen resigned from the Board of Directors of Danfoss A/S at the Annual General Meeting on March 25, 2022.
Jørgen M. Clausen was CEO of Danfoss from 1996 to 2008, and Chairman of the Board since the 2009 Annual General Meeting. Despite stepping down from the Board, he intends to maintain his strong commitment to Danfoss.

Role model for entrepreneurs
Together with his wife Anette he founded the theme park Universe in 2005 on Als in Sønderjylland.
“We want a welfare society, but we can only get that if we have a thriving industry that creates the background to wealth. We need more technologists – i.e. engineers and scientists – who can come up with these new products. Our society is based on technology and sustainable solutions, but it must come from somewhere”

Jørgen M. Clausen graduated as M.Sc. Electrical Engineer in 1972 from the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen. In 1975 he earned a MBA diploma from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.
Jørgen M. Clausen joined Danfoss A/S in 1981 and in 1991 he was appointed President of the Mobile Hydraulics Division. From 1996 until 2008 he was President and CEO of Danfoss A/S.
Jørgen M. Clausen is former Chairman of Danish Energy Industries’ Federation and former Chairman of The Innovation Fund – (Danish government agency funding research projects).
In 2017 he received the Tianjin Haihe Friendship Award and in 2004 he was bestowed with Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse in Germany.
In 2017 he received the Tianjin Haihe Friendship Award 2017 and in 2018 he was honored by receiving The People’s Republic of China National Friendship Award.
